What's new

ThoughtMetric now includes  definitions for the metrics in your dashboard. Hover over the ⓘ icon next to a metric, and a tooltip appears with an explanation of what it measures.

For calculated metrics, the tooltip also shows the formula behind the number.

Here are two examples of what you'll see in the dashboard.
  • Total Sales shows total sales (including taxes) after discount codes and refunds have been deducted.
  • ROAS is the ratio of total sales to ad spend, calculated as total sales divided by spend.

Why it matters

The definitions are helpful if you're newer to marketing metrics or just need a quick refresher. It also gives your team a shared reference point, so everyone reads the same number the same way.

We want ThoughtMetric to be the easiest attribution tool to read, and this update is a part of that effort.

Where to find it

Metric definitions are available now in your ThoughtMetric dashboard. Open any report and hover over the ⓘ icon next to a metric to try it.
