Custom Reports just got more goal oriented, thanks to a new widget.

The new goal widget can be used for tracking targets on total sales, number of orders, new customer sales, add to carts, sessions, and more. It shows where you stand compared to the goal and how much is left.

How to add a goal widget

  1. Open the Custom Report you want the goal in and add a widget
  2. Select the goal widget
  3. Choose the metric you want to set a target for
  4. Add any filters you need, including marketing channel, campaign name, country, SKU, product category, and more
  5. Set your target value and the date range the goal covers
  6. Click “Save Widget”

Updating goals for a new period

When the date range ends, the widget marks the goal complete and stops tracking. The final number stays on screen next to the target.

At the start of any new period, edit the widget with the new date range and update the target if it has changed.

Ways to use it

  • Monthly sales target on the main performance dashboard
  • Channel spend target with a filter applied to a single ad platform
  • New customer sales goal for the quarter
  • Add to carts or sessions target during a promotional period

These are simply ideas. The widget covers plenty of other metrics, so you decide the metrics you’d like to see.
