Ad creative isn’t just about looking nice. It’s about performance. A beautiful ad that doesn’t convert is just an expensive image. The real goal is to turn that pretty ad into revenue.
With ThoughtMetric, you can easily assess which creatives are actually working for your business and which ones are just wasting spend.
Where to Start
Once you’re logged in to your ThoughtMetric dashboard, head to the Advertising section. Then click Creative.
From here, you’ll see ad performance broken down by creative asset. For each asset, you can see metrics such as:
Spend
Impressions
Cost per click (CPC)
Click-through rate (CTR)
You can filter by campaign or creative type, such as image versus video, and sort by whatever metric matters most to you.
How to Use It
Let’s walk through an example.
Say your target CPC is under $3. You can sort all your ad creatives by cost per click, high to low. Right away, you’ll see which creatives are driving up costs and which are performing efficiently.
In one click, it becomes obvious which ads are above that $3 mark and may need to be paused or replaced. More importantly, you’ll see which creatives are below that line and might be worth scaling further.
Why This Matters
If you’re spending money on underperforming creatives, your ROAS will suffer. But when you can identify the best performers, you can double down and drive better results without increasing your budget.
Whether you're managing your own ads or working with a team, ThoughtMetric gives you the creative-level clarity you need to:
Stop guessing what’s working
Cut spend on ads that aren’t pulling their weight
Scale the ones that are actually driving conversions
